This morning, one of my best friends and I were texting back and forth and I sent her a photo of a closet I liked on Pinterest, and told her that I wish my closet looked like that. Her response couldn’t have been more perfect (forgive the cut-and-pasted conversation):
I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did.
It was a great time for a reality check that even though I recently wrote a post called Social media is fake news, it’s always refreshing to hear that other women feel the same kind of pressure to project a perfect life, when in reality most of us are grabbing clothes off our mismatched hangers, brushing our teeth while we pee and chugging our protein shakes in the car on the way to work.
